If you are a parent, the website has everything you will need to know from dates to uniform rules. If you are a visitor, then please take a look at our class pages and galleries to see the lovely work that goes on in Green Park every day. If you are an inspector, then you are also welcome (but please remember to look at our data page, because we are very proud of the progress our children make).
Green Park is a relatively new school, opening fully in 2008; it was formed from the amalgamation of the Powell and Melbourne Schools.
Recently, Green Park has reached out to begin supporting other schools, both in Dover and across Kent and has also formed a collaboration, known as the Dover Collaboration of Schools, with Charlton CE Primary, St Richard RC Primary and Langdon Primary Schools.
The most important message for our school is summed up in our motto:
From tiny footsteps to giant leaps, laughing and learning all the way.
School should be fun. It should be lively and it should be a place where children and adults grow into amazing people through mutual support and challenge.
I hope you enjoy your visit.
What a great day of sporting success for our brilliant children. The girls football team finished runners up at the McCarthy cup tournament and our Panathlon team finished as winners of the Kent Panathlon! https://t.co/GtOjfWH2l4
Dear Parents/Carers,
Tomorrow (17th May) we are having a visit from Joe Wicks The Body Coach for years 4, 5 and 6 so the children in these years can wear their P.E. kits into school. The sessions will be taking place in the main school hall so will go ahead regardless of the weather.
Dear Parent/Carer,
Just a reminder that year 3 are going on a school trip to Richborough Roman Fort this Friday (17th May). Your child should wear their school uniform and should wear comfortable shoes for walking in. A packed lunch will be required and they may also bring an extra drink preferably in a bottle rather than a carton. It would be helpful if your child brings a backpack style bag that they can put their lunch and extra drink in. The children may also bring no more than £3.00 spending money in a named envelope to spend at the gift shop.
Below are the dates for this year's Sports Days.
Tuesday 21st May:- Years 4, 5 and 6
Wednesday 22nd May:- Years 2 and 3
Thursday 23rd May:- Years R and 1
The events will start at 1.30pm on all of these dates. We look forward to seeing you all there.
